Navid Ghazisaidi

Biography

Navid Ghazisaidi has 10+ years of experience from leading design, development, and testing teams to deployment planning, managing suppliers, and supporting productions of emerging technologies & solutions. As part of the Verizon HQ Network Planning organization, Navid is responsible for managing and leading the SDN Data Intelligence team with a main focus on design, development, and deployment of next-generation networking solutions leveraging cutting edge disruptive SDN technologies, including automation, data modeling, and data analytics (using AI/ML). Navid is also an Adjunct Professor lecturing networking courses in the Department of Electrical Engineering at San Jose State University (SJSU). From October 2011 to April 2013, Navid served as the Director of Optical Network Program in IEEE Communications Society – Santa Clara Valley chapter. He has also been an active contributor in various standardization projects, such as BBF, FSAN, MEF, ITU-T SG15/Q2, IEEE P1904.1, IEEE P1905.1, and IEEE 802.3. Navid received his PhD in Telecommunications from the University of Québec, Montréal, QC, Canada and has published/presented over 35 patents, book chapters, and journal/conference papers in systems and networking areas. He is the co-author of the first book on integrated wireline (optical fiber) and wireless (mobile) networks entitled “FiWi Access Networks” published by Cambridge University Press in February 2012.

Statement of Intent

My objective is enhancing OpenDaylight workflow process (from new feature development and fixing trouble tickets to releasing new software versions) using advanced automation and data analytics techniques.

Oleksii Mozghovyi

Biography

Oleksii Mozghovyi is a Senior Software Engineer in Pantheon.tech, working on OpenDaylight based products. Previously, he was a consultant at GlobalLogic, where he was responsible for designing and developing the NFVi solutions. Spent several years helping customers with the implementation of NFV MANO framework components and transforming ETSI standards into working solutions. In 2020 Oleksii has joined the OpenDaylight project, and his most activities were focused on improvements for the netconf, integration/test, odlparent, and controller projects.

Statement of Intent

I have always been interested in telecommunications projects and the way how open source products are moving technologies forward. I intend to help with OpenDaylight evolution, make it more stable and easier for people and companies that would like to start using it. I would like to focus on improvements for the kernel projects(netconf, controller, odlparent, distribution) but will be happy to participate in other activities as well.
