Note If you are having trouble adding a topic, please reach out to Casey Cain <ccain@linuxfoundation.org>.

Topics

YANG Tools Status Update

  • Description: YANG Tools is undergoing some serious changes in its 2.0.0 transition. These changes have immediate impact on downstream projects, most notably components interacting with MD-SAL DOM APIs. This discussion will provide an overview of what is being done and how far along are we. This will feed into planning of when and how these changes will be integrated into the Simultaneous Release train.

Switch load-balancing

  • Description: OVSDB and OpenFlow plug-in can split switches among nodes, but that's currently done on a first-come, first-served basis. It would be nice to have some load-balancing, such that switches are allocated to different controller nodes in a cluster. There's a lot to discuss here: controller node selection, interactions with shard replica topologies...

Feedback from the ODL community on OPNFV's Compliance Verification Program (CVP)

  • Description: Vendors–even if their products are based on open source–all use different versions and configurations in a plethora of combinations. This diverse and complex set of differing configurations seen across the industry can be problematic and is often seen as impeding the adoption of open source based solutions in NFV. The OPNFV community is actively working with service providers, test labs and vendors to bring a common test methodology and test automation toolset, and a common reference validation set, for evaluating suitability of commercial products from service provider lab testing. This is the vision we’re working to realize through the Compliance Verification Program (CVP). In this session, we will introduce OPNFV CVP and the associated Dovetail project, listen to ODL community’s feedback and open up discussions for ideas of collaborations.

Zuul v3 PoC

  • Description: This topic aims to kick off the discussion around the possibility of having a PoC for Zuul v3. OpenStack Infra trying to migrate to Zuul v3. (the latest attempt resulted in rollback) It might be good for us to start thinking about how we can get a feeling about Zuul ourselves and come up with high level plans with some dates and list of projects who want to be guinea pigs for the PoC. While we settle the basics, OpenStack Infra will be done with their Zuul v3 migration hopefully.
